Doctor John Ribeiro

Dr. John Ribeiro has been practicing physical therapy since 2019. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science from Northeastern University, and Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Cum Laude, from University of Hartford. He is an avid snowboarder and hiker, and loves finding new ways to push the limits of fitness. Prior to physical therapy he was a personal trainer and CrossFit coach. After almost a decade of coaching, he fell in love with the transformative nature of physical rehabilitation and decided to go to PT school. Dr. Ribeiro’s area of interest is all things musculoskeletal and how it relates to his patient’s quality of life and is a certified SFMA practitioner. He is comfortable treating all kinds of ailments including joint replacements, athletic overuse injuries, neck and back pathologies, ACL and other ligamentous repairs, and much more.

His treatment philosophy involves taking a systemic approach to each patient to help each person understand how all the body’s systems are connected. He uses a blend of advanced manual therapy including joint mobilizations and manipulations combined with corrective neuromuscular re-education to improve his patient’s movement competency and pain. Dr. Ribeiro firmly believes that everyone can make progress regardless of their current situation, and by taking a global approach to their unique circumstances and goals they can better achieve the positive outcomes they are looking for. Patient education is vital to success with each patient, and Dr. Ribeiro believes that empowering each patient to be their own advocate ensures long term success. He also believes in developing a high level of trust with each patient and puts emphasis on a positive relationship with all individuals who walk into the clinic. He believes each patient deserves truly individualized care, and ensures that they receive the highest quality of one on one treatment possible.
