Cryotherapy

What is Cryotherapy

Homeostatic Healing

Cryotherapy is exposure to temperatures of up to -300F. The extreme cold stimulates the Central Nervous System (CNS) to promote homeostatic healing. When the body is exposed to these subzero conditions, it induces shock throughout the body stimulating the release of hormones such as epinephrine and endorphins. These hormones are especially crucial for performance enhancement in athletes and stress-tension relief.

For those with pain and injuries, the ultra-low temperatures of the cryotherapy constrict your blood vessels reducing blood flow. This causes an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect to problematic areas, such as muscles and joints. In many studies, results have also proven cryotherapy to be a successful treatment for depressive disorders and improvement for mood disorders.

FAQ

You’ve got questions & We’ve got answers

Q: What are the Benefits of Cryotherapy?

The main benefits of Cryotherapy include:

  • Decreased inflammation
  • Reduced pain
  • Metabolism boost
  • Improved skin tone and texture
  • Immune system boost
  • Quicker recovery

An intriguing benefit cryotherapy offers is the production of collagen. As a result of the cold temperature, your body will undergo vasoconstriction followed by vasodilation post treatment as your body temperature warms up. This will eliminate toxins and deposits stored within the layers of the skin improving blood perfusion. With consistent sessions, your skin will regain elasticity improving skin concerns such as cellulite, aging, uneven tone and texture, and chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis.

At the end of the treatment, your endocrine system is kicked into hyper-speed as enriched blood rushes throughout the body. Your metabolic rate is drastically increased lasting hours to days post procedure. After the procedure, your body burns up to 800 calories as it tries to produce enough heat to reach homeostasis.

Q: How Long Does Cryotherapy Take?

As mentioned above, a cryotherapy session lasts for three minutes. How could you not want to experience such an intriguing wholesome session in JUST THREE MINUTES?
