Unlocking the full potential of your hips will improve your performance in & out the gym. The hips are the power house to so many athletic movements. It’s not secret that compound movements such as the deadlift, squats, etc help improve athletic performance. But we can also be putting the breaks on our performance if your hip mobility and range of motion isn’t so great. There is always room for improvement!
HIP MOBILITY: WHY YOU’RE STRUGGLING
First off let’s touch on foam rolling. Foam rolling will not increase your hip mobility. Hip mobility exercises will increase your mobility. Simple. Regaining the mobility is the easy part. You’ve got to maintain your mobility, too, or else you run the risk loosing the mobility again. Once you learn the mobility exercises, it’s actually really pretty simple to maintain. People generally fail out of sheer forgetfulness or laziness. If you can incorporate mobility drills into your regular warm-ups or daily activities, maintenance becomes second nature. Click below to include this in your hip routine. Make sure whatever mobility routine you try to hit all planes of motion!
- Make it a routine
