Knee Bone Diagram

Protecting the ligaments in the knee are crucial for injury prevention. We use the knees daily to perform second nature movements such as walking, driving and bending. If any pain or injury occurs in this location of the body, simple daily functions become difficult to perform or complete.

In this post, we will educate ourselves on the most common knee injury, ACL tear, which results in approximately 100,000 surgeries yearly.

The ACL, Anterior Cruciate Ligament, is one of the main ligaments in the knee joint for stability and control. This ligament is often injured with sudden movements such as turning or pivoting, resulting in a tear. While ACL injuries most commonly occur while participating in contact sports, they can happen to anyone.
